Job Opening: Lead Amazon Strategist

Patina is a brand advisory that specializes in category-defining beauty and wellness brands. Through our interwoven set of capabilities — investments, logistics, retail strategy, and marketing, among others — we empower our clients to cut through the noise in an increasingly saturated global market.

Our in-house Amazon team is an increasingly central piece of this mission. With an emphasis on leveraging Amazon’s global reach without sacrificing our clients’ values and core positioning, we increase both revenue and brand reputation on a mass scale. Our Lead Amazon Strategist must possess both an appreciation for these qualities and a commitment to maintaining them while growing visibility and revenue across the channel.

While contract-based to start, demonstrated proficiency in the capabilities outlined below may lead to a full-time position, if desired.

  • Key capabilities:

      • Onboard clients and lead brand registry enrollment from start to finish

      • Develop and maintain timelines for account creation, PDP creation, brand store setup, and optimization

      • Oversee listings on Vendor Central and Seller Central accounts, including setting up and modifying existing listings according to clients’ positioning and marketing strategies

      • Optimize PDPs and Brand Stores for optimal conversion rates (images, copy, titles, keywords, A+ content)

      • Brief in-house design and copywriting teams for development of A+ content and Brand Store assets

      • Communicate with Amazon support to resolve inventory issues, including stranded inventory, ASIN reinstatement, and catalog variations and mergers

      • Oversee performance reporting and analytics on a bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis

      • Oversee client inventory, including troubleshooting blocked, inactive, and suppressed inventory, through communication with our in-house logistics team

      • Develop a comprehensive understanding of client positioning, products, and target demographics

    • Marketing

      • Continuously monitor and analyze ASIN performance, including rankings, ratings, reviews, and Buy Box ownership, then develop solutions to improve across metrics

      • Develop and execute promotional strategies across the Amazon ecosystem, including deals, discounts, cross-selling, and so on

      • Plan and allocate Amazon Advertising (formally AMS) strategies and spend on a biweekly, monthly, and quarterly basis

      • Utilize learnings from Amazon campaigns across client catalog and broader Patina client roster

  • Additional Qualifications

    • 2 to 3 years of experience in both Seller Central and Vendor Central

    • 2 to 3 years of experience in managing direct client relationships

    • The ability to work completely autonomously throughout the Amazon ecosystem, from brand registration through listing through marketing

    • Self-motivated and proactive working style with a passion for always seeking the best possible result for clients

    • An ability to motivate and inspire clients and, in the process, develop lasting and evolving relationships with them

    • Expertise in research tools like Helium 10 and Jungle Scout a plus
